English 175

The English 175 course has helped me in many ways that I will used it in my major and in my life . English 175 has improved my writing that lets me thinks in many different ideas and problems on the other hand I found the solutions for it . Another benefit that I get it from the course is that my reading improved that I can now read carefully and choose the correct answers . Also this course care me to make IELTS exam and my average was 5.5 . Finally , the English course change my language and make it better and also I learned many new words that I was have difficulty with it from . I hope I increased my language in the next year and in other courses .

Visitors to Canada

Nowadays, people like to travel to other countries in the summer or holidays. The number of visitors changes from year to year. This essay will describe the number of visitors to Canada from Spain and Japan.

The Spanish visitors who visited Canada in 1996 was almost 300K and its very low and it increased till 1999. Then there was a little drop that decreased the visitors to 570 in 2000 but after one year the visitors returned to increase and reached 590K visitors in 2001. Then numbers of visitors increased till 2004 and the number of visitors was 770K. In 2005, the visitors decreased again and also in 2006 it decreased until they reached 600K. On the other hand, the Japanese’s started with very high number of visitors and it was 800K and it stayed almost the same in the next 5 years with a very low difference in the number of visitors. Suddenly, there was a very big drop so it decreased to 580K visitors in 2002. In the next 2 years it stayed low until 2004 that it raised the number of visitors to 520K and it reached 680 in 2006.

In conclusion, the number of visitors is changing from year to year and that depend on many factors. Overall, the visitors from Spain + Japan seem to have stabilized at approximately 600,000 year.

Dubai Workers

The graph describes about the workers who come to Dubai. Also it compares the number of workers from the UK and Canada from 1990 to 2006.

The highest number of workers from UK and Canada in 1990 was the UK with 50 thousand and its raised to 20 thousand workers in the next four years. Then there was a drop of the workers. They decreased to 65 thousand and stayed in the same rate to 1998. Again another drop came and the number of the workers became to 60 thousand only.  After that numbers jumped in the last 6 years. Then they increased to 70 thousands workers in 2002 and in 2006 they reached 90 thousands worker. The number of the workers from Canada started with a low number of workers at 10 thousand and they rose slightly in 1992. But the real jump was in 1994 when the number rose to 30 thousand workers. After that the workers stayed until they reached almost 88 thousand in 2002. In 2004, there was a small drop and loosed 10 thousands workers but in 2006 they reached 90 thousands workers.

In conclusion, the 2 countries have different numbers of workers to Dubai. Also both of them increased and decreased but finally, they reached 90 thousand workers in 2006.

Internet Use In The UAE

In the UAE, Etisalat company which controls the internet in UAE blocks many sites that are against UAE government rules. Many people had many problem in their business and in their life that they couldn’t connect to this sites. In this essay there will be points for against blocking the internet in the UAE.

There are several arguments about blocking sites in UAE. The first argument is that many sites can be dangerous for the adult people that contain many things against our rules. Also, there are the sites that steal the copyrights of the albums, songs, pictures and movies. At last point is about the virus sites that can hack our computer and steal everything from it.

However, there are many people who don’t agree with Etisalat. The first point for these who are disagree people is that Etisalat blocks many sites without reason that can help them in their studies and in their life. Secondly, some people that they are responsible about themselves and they will take the reasonably that they get it from the sites. Finally, it is against the freedom comparing with the other countries that allow access to any sites.

In conclusion, blocking sites can be an advantage or disadvantage. However, I believed that blocking sites will save us from many problems but Etisalat must be sure and study well about the sites that they will block, or not.

Illegal Driving

Nowadays, many accidents are caused in the streets because the drivers don’t take care. The most problem is the drivers are driving and talking on the phone. In this essay, I will show the pros and cons of making it illegal to take on your mobile while driving.

There are many people who agree to make the mobile illegal. Their first reason is that while talking you is not focused on driving and that causes danger to the other drivers. Secondly, if you hear bad news you might get angry and distracted and that will cause the driver to lose his focus. The last reason is while you are talked on the phone it is easy to drive too fast and have an accident.

Although there are people who agree also there are some who disagree. The first point we of an emergency you need to call for help and that will help you in many situations. The second opinion, if you need you uses the map application on your phone to help you to find the place that you need. Finally, the businessman also needs to use the phone for important business call.

In conclusion, I agree to make it illegal while driving because it will save us from many problems. Also, this could be part of the police’s have many driving campaigns to help the drivers to drive well.

Public Transport

The graph shows the ages of the people who spend on public transport per week. The biggest group who use taxis and rail are who under 30. However, the percentages are different from each to another.

The biggest group using taxis are people who are under 30 and followed by 30 – 5- with 6.25 pounds sterling then 50 - 60 till 75 and over. Another transport is rail it comes in the same places from 30 till 70 and over. The last transport is bus, the most group who use it is who are from 30 – 50 after that 50 – 65 groups with 1 and a half finally 75 and over come with low percentage .

In conclusion, people under 30 are most of them using the transport after that 30 – 50 group come. On the other hand 75 and over are the lowest group who use the transport.
