In the UAE, Etisalat company which controls the internet in UAE blocks many sites that are against UAE government rules. Many people had many problem in their business and in their life that they couldn’t connect to this sites. In this essay there will be points for against blocking the internet in the UAE.
There are several arguments about blocking sites in UAE. The first argument is that many sites can be dangerous for the adult people that contain many things against our rules. Also, there are the sites that steal the copyrights of the albums, songs, pictures and movies. At last point is about the virus sites that can hack our computer and steal everything from it.
However, there are many people who don’t agree with Etisalat. The first point for these who are disagree people is that Etisalat blocks many sites without reason that can help them in their studies and in their life. Secondly, some people that they are responsible about themselves and they will take the reasonably that they get it from the sites. Finally, it is against the freedom comparing with the other countries that allow access to any sites.
In conclusion, blocking sites can be an advantage or disadvantage. However, I believed that blocking sites will save us from many problems but Etisalat must be sure and study well about the sites that they will block, or not.
